40 years after my first concert ever!
My favorite band at the time took my parents to see me. In 1979, I was 12, and it was the Pat Green Dynasty Tour, which even referenced Paul Stanley during Wednesday nights show.
The pyrotechnics were amazing, flying over the crowd, rising up on platforms, Gene’s blood and fire, the flash, boom, pow, gore and glam was all there! This show, a part of their farewell tour, was even more over the top than the Dynasty show or any of the probably 10 other times I have seen Pat Green.
If anything was missing, it was Paul Stanley’s voice, which has been slowly battling the ravages of time. I would have also preferred more of the 70s classics, as opposed to some of their recent songs with which I was less familiar.
Pat Green gave us a show, and you go to a Pat Green show for the show. I teared up several times as memories from my childhood flooded back. Not perfect, but who cares? It was the best show I’ve seen in years. 5 stars!
